Hosted by Flemings Property Services, the Buying Residential Land webinar will bring together experts from Boyce, Bendigo Bank, and Rural Law with Peter Long for a practical discussion about what buyers should consider if purchasing a block of land.

Date: Wednesday 11 November
Time: 6:00pm AEST
Location: Online via Microsoft Teams
Duration: 45 - 50 minutes

Understanding the process before you buy

Flemings Property Services Managing Director, Justin Fleming, will facilitate the discussion. He will be joined by panellists:

  • Darren Manton, Branch Manager at Bendigo Bank, discussing finance and lending
  • Angelica Gay, Director and Associate at Rural Law with Peter Long, discussing legal and settlement considerations
  • Sean Bourke, Senior Tax Advisor at Boyce, discussing accounting, tax and financial considerations.

The panel will explore how these areas connect throughout the buying process and some of the questions worth asking before making an offer.

Sean will bring an accountant’s perspective to the discussion, looking at the tax and financial considerations buyers may need to think about before purchasing land.

He will discuss relevant Federal Budget measures and current tax opportunities, as well as the different considerations that can apply when buying land for a future home compared with purchasing for investment.

A practical conversation for prospective land buyers

The webinar is intended for people actively looking for residential land as well as those beginning to explore their options.

The session will take the form of a panel conversation, with Justin drawing together the finance, legal and accounting perspectives. Flemings will also discuss current residential land opportunities across its network, followed by a live Q&A where attendees can put questions to the panel.
