The Opportunity:
We are seeking an IT Systems Support Officer to join our Technology Team and play a critical role in supporting the day-to day technology experience of our people. The role will be based out of our Sydney/Dubbo office.Â
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for providing responsive first-level IT support, managing technology assets, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, and working closely with our Managed Service Provider to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment, values strong customer service, and wants the opportunity to develop their technical skills while working across a broad range of technologies and business systems.
Key responsibilities
- Providing responsive first-level technical support to Boyce team members across multiple locations
- Managing IT support queues, ticketing systems and infrastructure inboxes to ensure timely issue resolution
- Coordinating employee onboarding, offboarding and technology provisioning
- Maintaining and managing Boyce's fleet of technology assets, including laptops, accessories and equipment
- Supporting software deployment, device configuration and ongoing technology maintenance
- Working closely with our Managed Service Provider to monitor service levels and escalate issues when required
- Assisting with procurement activities and maintaining appropriate technology stock levels across the business
- Delivering user training, guidance and support to help team members get the most from technology
- Contributing to technology projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Helping maintain documentation, processes and operational procedures that support efficient technology services
About you:
You'll bring a combination of technical capability, strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others succeed through technology.
Essential experience:
- Experience working in a technology support, help desk or IT systems support role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft desktop technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to support requests
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical way
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established processes
- A proactive approach to service delivery and continuous improvement
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers
Desirable experience:
- Exposure to Microsoft Entra environments
- Experience supporting hybrid and remote work environments
- Experience with IT asset management and device lifecycle management
- Knowledge of onboarding and offboarding processes within a professional services environment
- Experience working alongside third-party Managed Service Providers
