Alicia McCarten - Manager
Knowledge.
Alicia grew up on a broad acre cropping farm close to Rankins Springs in the Riverina, New South Wales.
She commenced her accounting career with Boyce in 2019 as a graduate accountant after completing a Bachelor of Agribusiness, Majoring in Accounting in 2019 from the University of New England.
Alicia has completed her Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification in 2023.
Insight.
Alicia’s passion and experience in the agricultural and rural sector came from her years growing up on her parent’s property. After she completed her schooling, she went on to have a 2-year gap year on a cattle station in the Northern Territory, where she learnt all about beef production and breeding.
Alicia now lives in Nevertire on a cotton, cattle and cropping property, where she works remotely three days a week and the remaining two days in the Dubbo office. She is dedicated to working closely with clients to help them reach their financial goals, maximise their wealth and manage tax.
Experience.
Over her time working with Boyce, Alicia has worked with a broad range of industries varying from smaller farming partnerships to large cotton and cropping farmers, as well as a large commercial distributor business. She has come to understand the importance of management accounting and the advantages it provides to her clients.
Outside of Boyce, Alicia is on the Warren Campdraft committee and the ‘We of the Nevertire’ committee. She enjoys competing in Campdrafts with her horses, water skiing in the summer and spending time with her family and friends.
