Linda Mackellar - Business Unit Leader - Boyce Agri Services

KNOWLEDGE
Linda Mackellar initially commenced a Commerce/Law degree at the University of New South Wales before transferring to the University of New England in Armidale to study Commerce.
Part-way through her studies, Linda was recruited to join Boyce Chartered Accountants as a cadet in the Moree office, commencing in this role in November 1999.
Linda continued her studies with UNE via distance education and was awarded a Bachelor of Commerce in December 2000.
INSIGHT
Linda was appointed to the firm’s Tax Focus Group in 2002 and in January 2003 she completed her professional year to become a Chartered Accountant.
Linda is motivated by her aim to help clients achieve their financial goals. She gains great satisfaction from making a difference to a client’s business and increasing their personal wealth.
EXPERIENCE
The Wagga Wagga office was established through a merger with DJ Graham & Co. Subsequently, in February 2003, Linda moved to this large regional centre to assist in the set-up of the fifth Boyce office.
Linda has worked closely with fellow Boyce Director, Simon Sellars, to establish and foster client relationships and maintain a high level of client service.
Since establishment, the client base of the Wagga office has grown considerably and now includes a number of large commercial businesses, professionals and agricultural enterprises.
Linda was appointed as a Business Unit Leader of the firm in October 2006 at the age of just 28. She has a particular interest in mentoring junior team members to pass on her skills and experience and to foster leadership.
Linda contributes to the community as a director of the Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust and Kurrajong Waratah, an organisation which provides support, training and opportunities to people with a disability.
