Phil Alchin

Phil has been a Executive Business Unit Leader - Boyce Agri Services at Boyce Moree since July 2005 having joined the firm in June 2000. He has a Bachelor of Business, is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has a Diploma in Financial Planning.

INSIGHT

Phil services a diverse client base including international and domestic investors in Australian agriculture, irrigated and dryland cropping enterprises and agricultural services businesses. 

As well as assisting clients with a range of business advisory and management accounting services, he specialises in the areas of business structures and reorganisations, succession and estate planning and debt restructuring.

EXPERIENCE

Phil has a particular interest in working with investors in Australian agriculture and has been instrumental in establishing a specialist division of the firm to focus resources and services in this area. 

In his role as the head of the Boyce Corporate Agriculture Division, Phil has spoken at a large number of industry group and investor briefings around Australia and internationally. 

Phil was a keynote speaker at the 2011 ‘Agricultural Investment Summit’ in London, presenting a session on “Direct investment in Australian agriculture — the fundamentals for success.” 

Phil is a strong advocate for promoting career opportunities in regional Australia and is a member of the University of New England Business School Course Advisory Board for Accounting and Finance.

In March 2015 Phil was elected to the firm’s Executive Committee in the role of Managing Director and served in this position until July 2019.
