Boyce & Cotton Industry Resurrect Cotton Study
1 May 2011
Boyce Chartered Accountants will collaborate with the Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC) to produce the “Australian Cotton Comparative Analysis” for 2010/11, a report that is regarded as the industry benchmark for the economics of cotton growing in Australia.
Boyce has been involved in the preparation of the Australian Cotton Comparative Analysis (ACCA) annually since the 1988/89 season through until 2006 when irrigated cotton plantings across Eastern Australia plummeted due to drought and insufficient availability of water.
Boyce Director, Phil Alchin, said that during the long years of drought which saw the demise of the ACCA publication, interest in the study hadn’t waned, with cotton-growers and others in the industry keen to see the re-emergence of this valuable resource.
National award for Boyce super strategist
9 March 2011
It came as a delightful surprise to Elizabeth Timmins, Boyce superannuation strategist, to receive the “Best Practice Award 2011” at the recent SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA) annual conference in Brisbane. Ms Timmins was not even aware that she had been nominated.
SPAA’s best practice award acknowledges members who demonstrate ‘best practice’ self-
managed superannuation fund (SMSF) advice whilst also promoting the professionalism of the association and industry generally.
Boyce Director, Julie Schofield, nominated Ms Timmins (pictured far right of photo with Julie) because of her consummate technical and strategic knowledge as a SMSF advisor.

Boyce employee of the year for 2010

15 December 2010
The Directors recently announced Tristan Lindner from the Moree office as the Boyce “Employee of the Year” for 2010. Tristan received the firm's "TQ Award" which seeks to recognise the extraordinary contribution made by a member of the firm.
The award was initiated in 2008 to honour fellow-Director and friend, the late Tony Quirk (TQ) who joined Boyce in 1991 and went on to become the youngest-ever Director appointed in the firm at the age of just 27.
As in previous years, finalists from each of the Boyce offices were selected by their peers and supporting written submissions forwarded to a panel of judges which included Boyce HR Manager, Gabrielle McFarland.
