New Boyce Director Appointed
1 January 2009
The Directors of Boyce are delighted to announce that Julie Schofield has been appointed as a Director of the firm effective 1 January 2009.
Julie commenced her working life with Boyce Cooma as a Cadet in 1998 when she was just 18 years old and completed a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Business Management through Charles Sturt University. She then undertook post-graduate study to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 2003.
As a cadet, Julie spent time in the audit and small business divisions in Cooma before joining an accounting team under the wing of Boyce Cooma Director, Jono Forrest. She transferred to the Boyce Superannuation Division in 2004.
Julie has been involved with managing this division and a team of eight for more than three years and has been instrumental in streamlining a number of processes to increase the efficiency of the division and better service clients.
Boyce Managing Director, Peter King, said Julie’s appointment was a great achievement and praised her commitment to client service.
“Julie is another shining example of the success of our cadetship program”, said Peter.
“She is passionate about ensuring the needs of our clients are met and is a great role model for other young people entering the firm”.
Julie grew up on her family’s property near Boorowa and is keenly interested in rural affairs and in the role she plays in helping families plan for their future.
“I love the work that we do for clients and the difference we can make to their lives”, said Julie.
Julie, her husband Glen and two year old daughter Meg live on a farm near Cooma where they produce cross-bred lambs and irrigated oaten and lucerne hay.
