Boyce employee of the year for 2010

The Directors recently announced Tristan Lindner from the Moree office as the Boyce “Employee of the Year” for 2010. Tristan received the firm's "TQ Award" which seeks to recognise the extraordinary contribution made by a member of the firm.
The award was initiated in 2008 to honour fellow-Director and friend, the late Tony Quirk (TQ) who joined Boyce in 1991 and went on to become the youngest-ever Director appointed in the firm at the age of just 27.
As in previous years, finalists from each of the Boyce offices were selected by their peers and supporting written submissions forwarded to a panel of judges which included Boyce HR Manager, Gabrielle McFarland.

Sponsorship recipient announced

Carly Sims, a third year Business student at the University of New England in Armidale has been awarded a scholarship worth up to $4,000 and a guarantee of 12 months paid work experience with Boyce Chartered Accountants.
The Directors of Boyce offer the sponsorship annually to a final year student at UNE studying accounting, economics, financial administration or a related course. The sponsorship was established by the firm in 2006 in memory of the late Tony Quirk, a graduate of UNE, who joined the Boyce Moree office and went on to become the youngest ever director appointed in the firm.
Director, Phil Alchin explains that Boyce is committed to promoting opportunities in regional NSW for aspiring young accountants through the firm’s scholarship programs.
Director appointed to BFS

The Directors of leading professional services firm Boyce Chartered Accountants are pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Garnock as a Director of the firm’s financial advisory division, Boyce Financial Services (BFS).
Mr Garnock is a Certified Financial Planner and has been the Senior Financial Advisor with BFS since inception. He initially joined Boyce in January 2000 as an Accountant in the firm’s Cooma office before pursuing a career in financial planning.
Mr Garnock has more than eight years experience in the financial advisory field and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
New Boyce Director Appointed

The Directors of Boyce are delighted to announce that Julie Schofield has been appointed as a Director of the firm effective 1 January 2009.
Julie commenced her working life with Boyce Cooma as a Cadet in 1998 when she was just 18 years old and completed a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Business Management through Charles Sturt University. She then undertook post-graduate study to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 2003.
As a cadet, Julie spent time in the audit and small business divisions in Cooma before joining an accounting team under the wing of Boyce Cooma Director, Jono Forrest. She transferred to the Boyce Superannuation Division in 2004.
