One in two Australians will develop cancer before the age of 85 and one in five will die from the disease, according to a report from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). But while the incidence of all cancers rose by 27 per cent in the 25 years to 2007, deaths from the disease have actually fallen by 16 per cent. This proves just how far modern medicine has come and the calibre of treatments available to treat the various forms of this illness.

The Boyce Financial Services (BFS) team was honoured to be nominated as one of five finalists in the prestigious “Lonsdale Associate of the Year” award at the 2013 Lonsdale & IOOF Alliances National Conference held in Perth.

BFS won the “Lonsdale Associate of the Year” award in 2011 and has previously been nominated as a finalist twice before in 2010 and 2012.

Boyce Celebrates 10 Years in Wagga Wagga

Boyce is celebrating not one, but two milestone anniversaries this year. It is 40 years since the firm was first established in 1973 by the legendary Michael Boyce and ten years since it ‘set up shop’ in Wagga Wagga. 

The firm’s proud history of rural practice began in the Monaro region of New South Wales with the establishment of an office in Cooma in July 1973. Today Boyce has five offices located in major regional centres across NSW and a staff of more than 140 – making it the largest independent accounting practice in regional Australia.
 
The Wagga Wagga branch of the firm was opened on 31 March 2003 under the leadership of director Simon Sellars.
