Boyce congratulates Dan Medway on his appointment as Director

30 October 2020

The Directors of Boyce Chartered Accountants are delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Medway as a Director of the firm effective 1 November 2020.

Dan will also be relocating from Dubbo to the Cooma office to join the leadership team in the Snowy Monaro and South Coast regions with Jono Forrest and Julie Schofield.

Dan, along with wife Megan, will be making the move from Dubbo to Cooma in early January and are both excited for the new opportunity.

Dan grew up in Dubbo and joined Boyce as a cadet in 2006, going on to complete a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) via distance education through Charles Sturt University in 2009. Dan completed post graduate studies to become a Chartered Accountant in 2013. With hard work and determination Dan was promoted to Senior Manager in 2019.

Managing Director Carmen Caldwell congratulated Dan on his appointment as Director noting “Dan has been an integral part of the Senior team in Dubbo, managing some of the larger clients of the firm, demonstrating his technical skills in Accounting and Management Accounting.”

“The progression to directorship is a just reward for Dan's efforts and the Cooma office will be greatly strengthened by Dan joining the front line.” said Carmen.

Dan is excited about his move to the Cooma team and the challenges and opportunities ahead.

“I love the work that we do for clients and I’m looking forward to moving to Cooma, developing great relationships and helping our clients maximise their wealth.” said Dan.

Please join us in congratulating Dan on his appointment.

Thank you for helping Boyce raise over $21,500 in our City2Surf fundraiser

30 October 2020

Boyce recently celebrated our 12th year of participation in the City2Surf Challenge. Due to COVID-19, the event was run a little differently with the 22 Boyce participants completing the challenge in their own communities.

In true Boyce spirit, we did not let the change stop us from raising as much money as possible for our chosen charity, Royal Far West.

We are proud to announce that we managed to amass over $21,500 and placed in the top 3 team fundraisers on the City2Surf Leader board. The final fundraising total means Boyce has raised more than $321,000 during our 12 years of participating in the City2Surf, and we are extremely appreciative of the generosity provided to our annual City2Surf fundraising event.

We could not have done this without the support of our wonderful clients, business partners, community members and family and friends.

Well done to our Boyce team, and thank you to everyone who contributed to this outstanding event.

2020 Tony Quirk Employee of the Year Award

28 October 2020

The Tony Quirk Employee of the Year Award provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our people.

The TQ Award was initiated by the Boyce Directors in 2008 to reward and recognise our team members and to honour fellow director and friend, the late Tony Quirk. Tony became the youngest-ever director appointed in the firm before he tragically passed away at the age of just 34. Tony’s memory lives on at Boyce through the annual TQ Award.

2020 TQ Finalists

Finalists from each of the Boyce offices are selected by their peers to be judged against criteria that encapsulate Tony’s contribution to the firm, including:

  • Demonstrating genuine care for clients
  • Contributing to the social fabric of Boyce
  • Acting in a professional manner
  • Living the firm’s values on a daily basis
  • Meeting the high-performance expectations of their role within Boyce.

The finalists have been announced and we are excited to shine a spotlight on the Boyce team members from our five regional offices who are in the running to win the highly coveted, annual TQ Award.

The Tony Quirk Award winner will be announced on 18 November 2020.

Please join us in congratulating our 2020 finalists.

Boyce's City2Surf Fundraising for Royal Far West

15 October 2020

We are once again fielding a team for the Sun-Herald City2Surf challenge which begins this Friday and finishes on Sunday 18 October.

This year, due to COVID-19, things are a little different and the challenge is being run virtually. So instead of trekking to Sydney to compete, our staff will be able to run the City2Surf wherever they choose. This has enabled City2Surf to go international, with runners from all over the world signing up to complete the challenge on their own turf.

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of City2Surf which has raised over $45 million since 2008. Boyce has proudly raised over $285,000 for various charities during our 11 years of participating in the event.

City2Surf Fundraising

The team have again elected to support Royal Far West -  a fantastic charity that is dedicated to helping country kids and communities in their time of need. Funds we raise will be used to support developmentally vulnerable children by providing access to specialist health and education programs, services and support.

If you would like to see how we are progressing with our fundraising please visit our Everyday Hero page.

If you would like to support the team, please share our fundraising page with family and friends. We welcome any donations, big or small - every dollar goes towards helping country kids in our communities.

We thank you for your generosity and support!
