Boyce City2Surf challenge is on again

The annual City2Surf challenge will take place on Sunday 13 August and once again Boyce is fielding a team to raise funds for a very worthy cause. 

This year we will contunie to support ‘Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust’ – a charity that is dedicated to raising awareness of melanoma. The trust actively supports medical research and endeavours to provide better access to specialised care for the communities of the Wagga Wagga region.

Penalty rates reduced by Fair Work Commission

This morning, the Fair Work Commission announced Sunday penalty rates paid in retail, hospitality, fast food, and pharmacy industries will be reduced from 1 July 2017.

Conversations began on the topic to bring the Sunday rate in line with the lower Saturday rate back in 2015 and this reform was just one of several workplace relations recommendations made by the Productivity Commission to the Fair Work Commission.

NSW land tax thresholds for 2017

Land tax is a tax levied on the owners of land in New South Wales as at midnight on the 31 December of each year. Land tax applies to land regardless of whether income is earned from the land.

If you own any property in NSW that is not your principal place of residence as at midnight 31 December 2016, including a holiday house or unit, you may be liable to pay land tax.
