ATO Correspondence for clients with a MyGov Account

Recently, we have had some enquiries from our clients stating they have not yet received their Notice of Assessments, Statement of Accounts, Activity statements and Instalment notices from our office either by email or post.

This will be the case if you have registered for a MyGov account and have the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) linked to your account in the services area.

If you have registered for a MyGov account there are a number of services that can be linked including Medicare, Centrelink, Child Support, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Australian JobSearch, My Aged Care, Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Australian Taxation Office.

EARLY insights show the average cotton grower can expect to pocket about $1,300 a hectare for the 2017 season.

That was the headline finding of the Australian Cotton Comparative Analysis (ACCA) Interim Results for 2017, released this week.

The ACCA is a management tool for growers produced by Boyce Chartered Accountants in conjunction with the Cotton Research and Development Corporation.

The aim of the study is to collect and critically analyse data that will assist the industry to grow and develop sustainably, through a focus on best practice techniques. Now in its 31st year, the valuable real time data continues to identify shifts and trends within the industry.

Ban on charging excessive amounts on payments now enforced across Australia

From 1 September 2017, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) will be enforcing a ban on all businesses across Australia charging excessive or unreasonable amounts on payments made to them by EFTPOS and (most) credit cards.
