In the recent Business Review Weekly (BRW) survey of the top 100 accounting firms, we are pleased to report that Boyce was ranked as the top regional firm in Australia. 

The BRW list includes the most outstanding accounting firms in the country based on the number of partners, growth and revenue for 2009/2010. Boyce came in at number 39 in the overall Top 100 list.

The Directors recently announced Tristan Lindner from the Moree office as the Boyce “Employee of the Year” for 2010. Tristan received the firm's "TQ Award" which seeks to recognise the extraordinary contribution made by a member of the firm. 

The award was initiated in 2008 to honour fellow-Director and friend, the late Tony Quirk (TQ) who joined Boyce in 1991 and went on to become the youngest-ever Director appointed in the firm at the age of just 27. 

As in previous years, finalists from each of the Boyce offices were selected by their peers and supporting written submissions forwarded to a panel of judges which included Boyce HR Manager, Gabrielle McFarland.

A number of the Boyce team (of the male variety) raised more than $1,600 for men’s health during Movember, as well as sporting some rather impressive moustaches by month end. 

Each year Movember is responsible for the emergence of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world, with the sole aim of raising vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. 

Men sporting Movember moustaches, known as Mo Bros, became walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November and through their actions and words raised awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.

Boyce Directors assist children with disabilities

Boyce Wagga Director, Linda Mackellar and Lindsay Garnock, Director of Boyce Financial Services, are part of a group of ten business professionals who have banded together to form a networking group with a difference. 

The aim of the group, known as Wagga Business NetworX, is to make a positive contribution to the local community and in particular to the lives of children with disabilities. 

The networking group organises various functions throughout the year to raise funds to support local disability service provider, Kurrajong Waratah, to provide an accommodation service for children with disabilities.

Boyce team raises funds for Brain Cancer Research

World-renowned neurosurgeon, Dr Charlie Teo congratulated Boyce Chartered Accountants for their efforts in raising almost $30,000 for brain cancer research. 

For the past two years, Boyce has used one of Australia’s most well-known events, the annual City to Surf race, to raise funds to support the Cure For Life Foundation. 

The Foundation was established by Dr Teo in response to the increasing incidence of brain tumours and the lack of research being conducted into the disease in Australia. 

“The City to Surf is an amazing event and provides participants like the team from Boyce Chartered Accountants with a significant challenge”, said Dr Teo.
